Krenula je sezona dodijeljivanja nagrada u gaming industriji. Iako smo nominacije za onu, mnogi će reći, najveću nagradu, The Game Awards, tek objavljeni, neki su već krenuli na proglašenje pobjednika. Među njima su Golden Joystick nagrade.

Danas je održana ceremonija dodjele Golden Joystick nagrada u 25 kategorija. Helldivers 2 je jedna od igara koje su možda dobile i više nego što se očekivalo, sa Critic’s Choice nagradom za igru godine, te za najbolju konzolašku igru godine. Nekoliko nagrada je pokupio i FF VII Rebirth, među kojima je i ona za najbolju priču, ali se našao na drugom mjestu što se tiče kategorije Ultimate Game of the Year. Tu nagradu je ove godine pokupio Black Myth: Wukong.

Na trećem mjestu su bili Helldivers 2, četvrtom Silent Hill 2, petom Metaphor: ReFantazio.
